So would the kestrel 1000 be a good addition to the BR4? I mean since the BR4 can solve the rest of the equations, a cheaper kestrel should work correct?

Just to know the exact wind. Not to link them. But if you say, set the base wind on the BR4 to 10 mph and the kestrel reads 12 you can add accordingly. IMO that would be the easiest as opposed to entering the exact wind in the BR4 every time

Exactly. Any basic wind meter works perfectly with the BR4. You just need wind speed and direction, the BR4 does the rest.

Mine is set to 10 and I just adjust, it's pretty easy honestly

Yup. I have the basic, bare-bones kestrel. It's used only for wind
