The Savage 110 FCP HS in 338LM

Sometimes tweaking the action screws can help with this problem.
Also , if handloading , try seating your bullet 5 thousandth deeper.
 
Mine consistently shoots the first shot just under 1MOA low and then the rest all grou about a 1/2 MOA. The best answer I could come up with is that the barrel is not properly stress relieved. I've shot 5 groups of 5 shots each and let it cool off in between and all of them look the same. First one is always low. It's consistent and I can calculate it in at distance.
