The Garmin is made in Taiwan, so like 50 miles from China. Garmin makes stuff in China, Taiwan and the US. It could basically be the same unit with a few things changed to get around copyright laws. It could just be the same unit manufactured in a different plant.

Id like to see a better app for Garmin with more options and interaction flexibilty to other devices. Maybe this will wake them up and spur some competition.
