The Athlon Rangecraft Chronograph - Will This Beat The Garmin Xero At Half The Price?

Cajun , I sent a scope back to Burris for warranty/repair and they lost it. They upgraded me to the hd model scope and gave me 2 50% off coupons undated so I traded one for my Garmin and paid 27$ for next day delivery. The other coupon I kept!! Pretty good deal I'd say.
Great deal for you. A buddy of mine sent in a VX3 Leupold for warranty repair and they lost it. Sent him back a brand new Mark5. Crazy…..

I like my athlon stuff. But you won't see me giving up a garmin to save a few hundred no matter how many say it's "as good". Garmin earned my $$ with a first to market innovative product that has been as perfect as a product can be. For me it's some of the best reloading $ I've spent.
I would say that LabRadar was the first to do so but Garmin made huge improvements and further innovation to improve upon the main drawbacks of the LabRadar - UI, dependability and ergos/size.

To me LabRadar primed the pump and Garmin beat them to the punch with something ready for mainstream adoption and seems on pace to take the market from LabRadar.

I have an old Pact which still works great when the sun shines. Also a Magneto Speed which is falling apart. And finally a LabRadar which I rarely use, but should start using it. If I can sell the LabRadar, I may look into the Garmin, but as long as it works, what's the point? A little more convenient I guess.

The Garmin is made in Taiwan, so like 50 miles from China. Garmin makes stuff in China, Taiwan and the US. It could basically be the same unit with a few things changed to get around copyright laws. It could just be the same unit manufactured in a different plant.

I would love to see and support made-in-USA products again like they used to; unfortunately, I might not see it in my lifetime, but I am still hopeful. I was initially interested in the LabRadar LX from Canada. It's not the US, but at least it is in North America.

I ended up with Velociradar (Vietnam) because I wanted hands-on experience with CHIRP RADAR technology, and I already had experience with optical and DOPPLER RADAR technology.
