Thats gonna be pretty awesome. I really like the lines on the stock. Nice vertical grip. Did you start with a blank or a semi finished ?

Thanks. I order them semi-finished. I don't have a way to inlet or cut the thumbhole.

A couple of final pictures of the stock. I just sent it yesterday for final fitting and bedding. This stock took me 1.5 months. All shaping done by hand, sanding done by Black-N-Decker.

Richards Microfit ? I have a similar stock from Boyds but the grip is not vertical as that one is. Want to upgrade maybe.

Richards Microfit is correct. I get the style I want and then I tailor the stock to my kids. I open the thumbhole, sharpen or round the lines, and customize the grip. They are extremely ruff with lots of machine marks on them when they come. If you want your stock as close to perfect as humanly possible, plan on a solid 1-3 months of shaping, sanding, and finishing.

The day has come and now past. The 340 Zaylea Ann has been presented and received with tearful joy. We put a great skit together and she didn't know a thing. These builds are so much fun for all involved. A big thanks to the "Dream Team".
JE Custom, Joel Russo, Dave Manson and Dan Lilja. After we presented the rifle we headed to the range. We used factory 340 Ammo for the test firing which went very well. I had loaded up some Bertram brass for her to fire form but found the brass to be too hard and split the necks. She only shot twice but instantly fell in love. Here are some pictures of the day.
