Retumbo has also worked well in the 6mm and 6.5mm SST. I'm pretty sure it will work in the 7 when it comes out too. At least with 180 and above bullets.
.0065" erosion sounds pretty good for a lot of loads at 3300+

Well, I've certainly spent a pile of money in the last day... ordered a Curtis vector action, pre ordered 25sst brass and ordered a hells canyon 7 twist carbon barrel for one of these things.

Having Hells Canyon Armory build it. Benchmark blank that is carbon wrapped. Heard some good things on here about them but haven't used one before. It's actually a 7.25 twist and will finish at 24". Going a little lighter and shorter on this build. Trying to decide on a stock. Seriously considering a manners eh1.
More Performance cost more $, it's been worth for me as I shoot extended ranges quite a bit. Looking forward to seeing how that hells canyon bbl shoots, and I really like my Manners EH-1. I have been shooting for drops the past 2 days from 100-1995 yards to start getting everything trued up in shooter. I was impressed how well it shot at extreme ranges and did well at subsonic velocity's. I took a cold bore shot on an old spray paint can that was full but wouldn't spray this morning just after first light.
Target size was 2.5" wide X 10" tall, range was 1995 yards wind 7-10mph at 3clock. Dialed 68 moa up from a 100 yard zero and 7.5moa right velocity 3200fps.
First shot elevation was good but impacted half moa left.
Second shot I had moved over and was aiming at a 12" plate now, dialed .5 moa right and fired, didn't see anything.
Third shot went back to the spray can so I could see the impact better. Didn't change anything, fired and it landed 1 moa low and .25moa right
Haven't hit it yet but il be back at it in a few days.
Impact velocity: 1067fps
Energy: 331
TOF: 3.277 sec
