Sounds exactly like the trip we did 11 years agoMy wife and I got home at 0100 this AM from our R&R.
- July 25-31: Played tourist/foodie in Vancouver, BC.
- July 31 to August 10: Princess cruise from Vancouver, BC to AK (Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, College Fjord, and Anchorage/Whittier).
August 10-12: The land part of the tour includes a scenic train ride to Talkeetna (Princess McKinley Wilderness Lodge), a nature tour in Denali (Grand Denali Lodge), and a Riverboat ride at Fairbanks (Fairbanks Princess Riverside Lodge).
- August 11: I met my niece in Anchorage. It was nice seeing her, even for a short while.
- August 11-13: We spent some time at Seward and managed to squeeze an all-day multi-species sportfishing on the 12th . @akdad, I had a blast with the J Dock crew (https://www.jdockcompany.com/). I also met some wonderful people fishing.
As much as my wife and I like our travels, there is no place like home - home sweet home. We are blessed to have many things for which we are thankful. AMEN!
Now, I have to catch up on other things, go back to work tomorrow, and work on my second retirement.
