Temp stable .270 wsm powder

Hi shooters
I was under the impression that all RL powders were developed to be "temperature less sensitive" for years. In 2006 I had a 270 WSM built with a Lilja 24". It really enjoyed RL 22, TSX 130, 210M and 3309 fps and 0.3 to 0.4" for 3 shots. Barrel Is pencil thin so never tempted to 5 shot as it would likely spread right out. But it is a hunting rifle. If I had to start over I would look closely at RL23 but for me, I am not going try to fix what is not broken.

Good luck! My 270 WSM has been successful on elk and moose in Canada. It is my "go to" hunting rifle. Enjoy yours.

I'm looking for powders to start load development on a short barreled .270 wsm with 140 berger classic hunters. (I don't know how short the barrel is gunna be yet, I plan to chronograph it at 26 inches and decide how much I am willing to lose from there). I can find some load data that should work for h1000 which will be a good starting place being as it shoots well from my 7 mag but H1000 is in short supply right now. I have lists of load data I just don't know adam from eve when it comes to powders. I am looking for temp stability first and velocity second. Im seeing re 26, aa magpro, ramshot, n560, 7828 ssc. Any ideas which powders I should be looking for?
I don't know how temp stable it is but I love RSM in mine for 14 years. I'm in south Texas though, temp swings aren't bad

I start with this table and stick some rounds in the freezer, in the sun, in the shade, measuring case temp via IR thermometer. Seems to be pretty close as a reference with H1000 in my 7mm RM. 24" barrel, 69gr, Berger 168TVLD, 2950 fps.

H4831 sc works great in my Tikka

Does anyone use RL17, it worked great in my 300WSM. Planning to use it for 270WSM as well.

Vihtavuori N-160 is the best temperature stable powder that is used around these parts of Canada.
ive seen awesome results with the 140-160gr pills in the 6.5CM.
I'll be trialling it soon in my 270 WIN.

N-165 would give you better velocity but will trade some of the better SDs and stability.
