Swarovski Z5i?

I have 2 z5s both with 2 rev turrets on 20 moa bases. Both have been spot on to 1200 yards for 5 years and roughly 500 rounds each. 6cm, 7 blaser improved. I'm not changing my hunting setup for any reason yet.

Which 2 Rev turret are you using?? I am looking to replace my 1 Rev Turret from Custom Scope Turrets to the 2 Rev but was concerned about getting rid of the zero stop. Do you find this to be a pain to maintain your zero without the zero stop?

My first one was the one from new Zealand and I just got the one from the US but havnt opened the package yet.

No it is not a big deal. I have a 20 moa base, so it only goes 1/3 of a revolution below zero.

Would like to know the US model you have as mine is from NZ also. Thanks for the info and going to try your setup after late season elk.

Kenton on right is a little brighter white. Will see how it mounts on...

Kenton goes on over the swaro base vs on top of. It does appear to kind of shadow the mark. I like that the print is brighter.

Just think of how quick and easy it would be if we actually answered the questions that were asked in these posts. It was never asked if he should be dialing out to 500…it stated that he was going to be doing it. Specifically he's asking about a particular scope and looking for opinions on said scope as it pertains to the parameters in his first post. If you have no experience with said scope, why comment? It honestly makes it hard to want to comment because you have to read through the fluff to find other actual answers.

Z5i - Good lightweight scope…glass is pretty good and for its weight and construction it seems pretty robust. I have hunted with one on a custom .338 McWhorter and I have absolutely beaten that thing up. It served as my guiding gun for one year…was bounced off of rocks and trees…countless times it has been what has kept me from falling on the slippery rocks along the shoreline of the oceans of Alaska. It held its zero the whole time, and in terms of dialing, it never failed me. Helped me make numerous longer shots…all while dialing (yes dialing) out to just shy of 500 yards. Honestly to my eye the glass is really good…not as good as the Z8i's, but at double the price I don't think you get double the clarity for sure. You won't be disappointed in the scope and it is a really good option in a lightweight package. Good luck!

I am looking for the best glass I can afford for a 6.5 prc. Would like to keep it around 1500 or so. I love the specs of the Z5I 3.5-18x44. It seems that the swaro gets great reviews for glass quality, fit and finish, weight and so on. It seems it only gets dinged on amount of travel and maybe reliability for dialing. My question is....... would you consider this scope a descent option if I was only dialing up to 500? I honestly dont need much travel to go out to that distance, and it's not like I will be dialing daily......lol

Thanks for the info!!
