When at the range, I record every shot. So I have some rifles that I base my ES across 200+ rounds. But minimum of 20 rounds jist prior to a hunt go into my ballistic solver and LRF.
I was talking a a fellow one day at a local range about accuracy and just rifle small talk etc. He proceeded to pull out his wallet as if he was going to show me a pic of one of his grandchildren or something. Instead, he pulled out a little piece of a target with a very small group (basically a ragged hole). I said "impressive, is that a 5 shot group?" He said "no it is 2 shots, I didn't want to mess it up". I put my earplugs back in and went back to shooting. The funny part is he was serious. Lol.

I see guys working on 3 shot and 5 shot ES. If you only shoot 2 shots, you will generally get better ES….
