Stocking making

So I have several Bat "S" series actions.. I gave my oldest one for graduation.. then he wanted a walking hunter stock for it…
Uhh… nobody makes one for it, come to find out.
Then I commence to call, text, email duplicates to see if the would do it… got blown off.. yet they still post pic of their lastest works…

I built my son's stock from these black walnut boards my Uncle had in back of his garage…

Latest project-
My youngest wanted a walking stick for his Bat SV…

So back to rasping, sanding….

this was a baby tracker stock..
Now a comfortable walking stock…still gotta put a finish on it…

Then … here are a few other pic of the powder cups I made for the A& D powder throws…(Kernel Catcher) …plus a couple cartridge boxes..

I no longer make the cups…seems ever had their own preference for that…

Nice! I have considered making a custom stock for my daughter. She is very small framed and finding stocks that fit her correctly is near impossible.

If you don't mind sharing. What did you use to clear up the cloudiness when cutting the plastic on the clear cartridge box.

Draw, saw, inlet action, got to rasping & sanding !!! I fidget to crazy on the inlet, since I knew the marine tex would fill the voids…

Went looking for some new hand rasps.. uh.. youn folks at hardware stores only know of files… for metal…
I found my grandfather's 6 pc set , a quick dunk in battery acid, sharpened them back up-
Off I went… shaping- do the butt 1st then forearm

Ok-
Slow speed on a mill-4 flute
WD40 !!!
Then I went back and wet sanded from 1200-2500 grit, then polished it off w/ mothers aluminum polish on microfiber towel, washed in dawn & dried/ assembled it..

That's a 2" x 6" stacked & hinged..
Those are 6BRAI loaded rds..in both boxes

I just drilled and tapped the holes, ca glued magnets in corers in the front

Some times I get a crazy,

and open up a bolt face to mag BF… to shoot a 6.5 PRC from my maxi tracker… one thing leads to another.. gotta open the ejection port… tune the extractor & ejector…
