Stock packs?

Another option for your consideration >>> https://www.beartooth-products.com/collections/comb-raising-kit-gun-cover-cheek-pad-weld-piece-riser

I had one of these a couple years back. It was comfy and warm on the face, however didn't last a whole season before it started to come apart. I tend to be a little hard on equipment, but still.

Thanks, @FEENIX- I had looked at those from a previous search and thought they'd be the ticket, but for some reason I am worried by that sleeve instead of the velcro or chord design (afraid of what is unfamiliar, I suppose).

All who mentioned Triad- I'm really liking the features on some of the triad packs...I may order one and give it some range time to see if it'll fit the bill. I like the one option with the external mag pouch- looks like that will hold AICS style magazines and could free up some space in my over-the-shoulder pack I carry the magazine in currently. Probably faster to get to, as well.

Yup, that is am Alpha 10 round mag in an internal/external mag pouch. I keep my kestrel in the pouch.

It's all good. Having more than one choice and alternative to choose from is always nice ... just didn't want you to end up with the duct tape/foam insert route.

Cheers!

A bit pricier but here's another option for your consideration ...

Glad you ask this question. I just put a gamescout on my 270 sherman and decided I needed a little additional cheek weld for the nxs 5.5-22x50 nxs. Google pointed me towards a voodoo pack. It's too big for the McMillan gamescout. Made it work but I'm not happy with it. I'll give the triad one a go. Thanks.

Another for the Triad Tactical. I really like mine. I use the zippered pocket for my drop charts, suppressor paperwork, thread protector, and earplugs. it comes with Velcro to adjust height underneath and is fairly padded and very comfortable on cheek bone.

I also have a Tac Ops which is nice but has little padding and that Velcro underneath kinda cuts in to my cheek on the side and uncomfortable. Probably best to use something padded other than what's included.

Next ones I buy will definitely be the Triads from here out.

I use the "BALS Mk-2, Gen 2" from SKD tactical.

The bag is nice when you aren't concerned with weight and it has good padding.

I still have 2 Eagle stock packs that I've been really happy with and have held up well. Last year I ordered a tactical sharpshooter stock pack from Amazon and it held up well during several hunts. Still looks brand new.

I have the tac-ops with the ammo carrier on velcro I have a pouch for small binos, kestral or range finder with a velcro back. I have about 1" of stiff foam under it for my application. I keep another strip of foam in the zippered part for steep terrain.
I build up the stock with foam and duct tape then put the stock pack over it.
