Steel Targets

You all have motivated me to make one. I didn't get real technical about it though. I just grabbed some scrap steel I have, welded up a frame with the wrong rods, and used tube on the top bar to allow it to swing. 10" plate goes on tomorrow! It's very ugly but I don't think my bullets will care!!:D

Been shooting steel targets as an LE officer over 18 years and safety is always
first..
When building these targets, been using 8018 C3 mckay rod but several other
companies make it, after welding it stress relieve with a chippen hammer or
what ever you may have tap the weld a few times all around where welded.
As long as your target is at a angle to you and moves when hit you should
be safe...
MGM is my first choice in targets
LV targets out of Las Vagas a good choice.

I agree about safety. You should use mild steel so that the bullets just go right through. Old fly wheels work pretty well also. :D
