Spotting scope Recommendations

Because I'm not as worried about antler size and score when I'm hunting as much as the client depends on it for them. I don't think that you significantly handicapped when using the Razor vs. the Swaro ATC/STC anyways. If you want to compare that Razor compact to my ATX 115mm…well then there is a huge difference in your ability to judge from a distance.

It's not that weird really.

I use vortex UHDs and similar optics because the glass is good enough, but I really need that warranty.

So that's another reason, and that reason in detail is because I'm hard on gear. I've had binos hit rocks when stalking around, I've had harnesses fail in the past, I've had glass on tripods fall over in the wind or from loose rock and earth. I've taken falls in crazy terrain.

I've never not seen an animal because I was using $1500 optic. However, I too am not a tine counter. I have and I will kill a wide body fork and walk off that public land mountain with a smile every opportunity.
 
So here's your best deal right now on one of the top2 compact spotters, see review against the ATC/STC. The new KOWA TSN55 is out so they're blowing out the TSN553's they've got leftover. I won't be selling mine since you can get a new one for $999-1099 I'll just keep it. Don't snooze on this as they won't last long. Kowa store has them for half price $999 and BH Photo for $1099. I'll just keep mine as I paid much more than this and won't sell it for that.

Here's a thorough review. I can't find the review of where they compare it to the ATC. The review I can't find gives a slight nod to the ATC but not by much. At a $1000 you can't go wrong. I need to go look through the new TSN55 but it's $2200.

Here is one comparison of the Kowa and Swaro small spotters. Seems biggest difference is the Swaro's much larger FOV but it comes at a very large premium $ esp given the clearance deals on the Kowa 553 right now.

absolutely, i wouldnt sell it for that price either. haha you are happy with the spotter though? why were you considering sellin in the first place?
