I used JP brakes until I tried my first MDT. Switched them all out within a couple months.

Regarding radial brakes. Custom rifle builders Dave Miller and Curt Crum told me of a rifle they built that was not shooting to their expectations. They installed a radial brake and it tightened the groups significantly. They thought the gasses being vented equally in all directions changed the harmonics for the improved accuracy.
