Speer I think.. 6.5 140 gr Bonded factory seconds

As requested. Disclaimer...I don't believe these Midway seconds are actually Boron Nitride Coated.
Thanks for the data. What would think the coasting is? I received mine and they are heavily coated with something such as moly, hbn, etc.

These are last months offerings. They are exactly the same weight, BTO and some have these little blemishes but are great to me.

I made up some bullets last night for my sons 6.5 PRC. It was just a guess going off of previous 140 gr load I made less 1 grain. He shot for a zero @ 100 yds then stepped out to 200 yds and after some changes he made this 3 shot group. Drove a mile away to our favorite vantage point and seen this ram directly under the shooting range where he came from lol so he went back made a quick stalk and took him at 291 yds. Blew his front shoulders out with a 2" exit instantly dropping. He already cleaned the animal and was driving out when he texted me so he didn't have any autopsy photos. My opinion on these bullets are they're great and an even better value. I will have him go out and get more animals tomorrow stay tuned....

Were these the coated bullets? Any velocity readings? Assuming it's HBN and 1gr less powder, the velocities would be lower.

These are last months Bullets uncoated. No velocity readings as I just made a load for him to try out, hence the 1 grain less for safety. I will make a new batch for load development and go from there. I was just curious on how they would perform before buying more. After seeing this I will put another order in to midway before it's all gone.

I bought a 6.5 Creedmoor last year and have yet to find bullets to reload for it. I shoot mostly Whitetails but would like to be able to go after Mule Deer at up to 500 yards in the future with this rifle.

Would these be a decent buy for that purpose?

I currently hunt with a 7mm-08 and load flat based Sierra Pro Hunters in it as they are the most accurate. I have not shot past 390 yards with this rifle but did get a nice Mulley at that distance a couple years back.

In general, a bullet like this is plenty capable of taking deer, effectively, at those distances. It just depends on if you find an accurate load.

With respect to rifle bullets.

DeepCurls are Speers first generation obsolete flat base electroplated "bonded" bullet with supposed excess pressure issues.

Gold Dot are Speers current boat tail electroplated "bonded" bullet that's had a good record for at least 5 years. I personally haven't used these, but I believe they are HBN coated. Fusions are just Vista Outdoors name for the same bullet without HBN coating sold under their Federal brand.
I just started using the fusions, gold dots and now these deep curl seconds. The gold dots ive used have not been coated.

The deep curls i recieved today are like the others.....really coated/dirty. I will be wiping each one "clean" as i load them.

our first batch was not coated they were very clean and are shooting great not a match quality bullet but they were not advertised as such very happy with them our second order will be here tuesday we will see about coating does not really matter to me one way or the other

I'm grateful for all the info you guys have shared. Tuesday can't get here soon enough, and I'll load some up with some RL-26. We'll see if I can reach the magic 2900fps that people are reporting with the 6.5/26 combo. If I'm able to get those speeds, or close to that, my Savage Ultralite will become one of my new favorite go-to guns.

I was surprised they lasted along as they did must have been a bunch of them in inventory I would bet some will show up here for sale as they might not shoot well in some rifles
