Been doing preliminary development. The newer generation Sierra 200 grain smk, reaaaallly sleek, long ogive and tail, little bearing surface. Treated with HBN.

Shows promise, now to fiddle with seating depth a bit.

But holy velocity Batman!

No pressure signs AT ALL and she's hitting 3100 fps over a lightly compressed load of 82 grains Alliant RL25. Fed 215m, lapua brass.

Savage 111 long range hunter, 24 inch 10 twist plus 2 inches of muzzle brake haha. Single feed only at this length.

Rl-25 was my all time favorite in 300Wm and 180gr Swift Scirocco.

Yep, RL25 has the same results for me, but with 210g ABLR in my custom 300WM, not HBN coated though. 3080fps in the 28" barrel.

Great results for you, hope it proves just as good on game, if that's your intention.

Just be careful if it gets hot where you are shooting. That 3100 could turn into 3200 and a locked up bolt in the sunmer. RL25 is really temp sensitive.
