Tell me about it.
It seems they are out of stock everywhere, why?
My son is thinking about buying one whenever one pops up.
He's looking for a universal can.
Would you recommend?
Any information would be appreciated.
Thx

I have the griffen bushwacker. When I got it I wanted a can I could take apart and clean since I'd be shooting cast lead through it. That's the only reason I didn't go with the sico. It lives on my 44 mag lever gun.(420gr subs from a 44mag lever is fun) That's all I use it for. If you're wanting to use it for the bigger bore straight walls in the midwest, then it's a good option, but the universals are big, heavy and don't suppress as well as the dedicated 30 cal hunting cans. They're good second cans.

I have the SiCo 36M. I Love it. Goes from my 5.56 ARs to my big bore 30s. Extremely versatile & impressively quiet on all platforms…I use the SiCo ACSR quick connect adapters on each platform for quick assembly. not sure why the 46 is out of stock..?

I have that can. It has served me well for 6 or 7 years. I think it says a lot in today's day and age that they still make the same exact can. I think they got a lot of things right.

I have noticed that when shooting with my buddies with the Dead-Air cans, that theirs are quieter, by some amount, but they also only use them on 6mm, 6.5mm, and 30 cal. I use mine on everything from 204 Ruger to 45/70. I like. Ot having to own 3 different cans

I have owned the hybrid 46 for about 6 years and used it on .223, 9mm, 6.5 creed, 300 PRC, 30-378 Weatherby and .17 HMR. It has been flawless. I also have the ASR brakes on all of my rifles for easy on easy off. With the 46 end cap, it is a little louder than my friend's dedicated 30 cal suppressor, but changing the end cap to the muzzle diameter brings it right back to the same levels. I am kicking myself because Scheels has a 46m for $999. I went back the next week to pick it up and it was gone. I will be getting another 46 soon.

Unless he needs the larger caliber/ wants to use on handguns, then IMO for centerfire rifle use a 30 cal can is a better choice.

I have several of the original 46s and a 46M. They're perfectly fine for what they are - universals. Work great on 450 Bushmasters. Won't ever be as light or quiet as a dedicated can in the correct caliber but they're built well and are solid.

You can change endcaps, but the baffle stack is still cut to the larger caliber. Upside is the Bravo mounting threads give you a lot of options other than ASR and SiCo direct thread inserts.

Make sure he's not missing them as out of stock watching the old SKU. They now have the Hybrid 46 DT (original design) and the Hybrid 46M (modular).

Silencer Shop still lists the old Hybrid 46, plus the new 46M, and then a Hybrid 46 "DTM" even though SiCo lists it as "DT". Won't get any in stock notices on the old SKU anymore.

If you don't need it for anything larger than .36 caliber (9mm projectiles) go with the 36M. I've had good luck with the 36M but if you want to run large bores then grab a 46M. I almost bought the 46M for a .450 bushmaster to hunt deer in Ohio but then they came out with the .350 legend and haven't shot the .450BM since…

As someone who has owned a Hybrid since 2017 my opinion is that it is a serviceable .45 cal can but if you are shooting anything smaller just go with that size suppressor instead. Mine is now relegated to my 45-70 and smokeless muzzleloader as it is heavier, longer and louder than my Dead Air Nomad 30 and not in the same realm as my Nomad L on anything 30 cal and smaller.

So if he intends to use it predominantly on a .45 cal rifle than go for it, if not then go with the .36M or a .30 Cal can instead.

Yeah guys.
That's the thinking I was along with.
He would be using it for a .357 max as the largest bore and mostly his 6.5 Creedmoor
I also told him the 36
He was mostly looking at the prices.
I don't know which is cheaper.
