Shot placement

After watching a 12 yo shoot 2 mature bucks with a 120 gr bullet from a 300 BO travelling 2250 at the muzzle with 1350 ft# I would say all these bullet threads are a waste of time or are they? Shot placement was perfect behind the shoulder on both. The second deer was 185# stud of a deer ( for us) bullet did exit off shoulder area. I'm intrigued by the bullet and who makes it? It's sig sauer 120 copper. Bullet doesnt look like typical barnes. It has large relief cuts. Shot was 100 yds btw.
