any load data for this load? I'm doing load development on the CA Ridgeline FFT 300wsm 20"My buddy is running the 166g hammers at over 3000 fps in his 20 inch 300wsm.
Can a 1:9 twist rate shoot the 166gr Hammers efficiently in a 20" inch barrel for 300wsm? I'd like a 300wsm that can fire the 166gr Hammers and also 215gr ammo without buying multiple rifles. My buddy is running the 166g hammers at over 3000 fps in his 20 inch 300wsm.
A 10 would do what you're wanting, but specifically…yes, a 9 would work. Can a 1:9 twist rate shoot the 166gr Hammers efficiently in a 20" inch barrel for 300wsm? I'd like a 300wsm that can fire the 166gr Hammers and also 215gr ammo without buying multiple rifles.

I would suggest you shoot hammers in your rifle and confirm BC. I would not run ballistics off their published BC and assume you are good to go.Can a 1:9 twist rate shoot the 166gr Hammers efficiently in a 20" inch barrel for 300wsm?
