I have messed with the light bullets, pretty sure I'm the only one ha ha....Got some 117 hammers to try, haven't shot them yet, and have shot 128 Badland bulldozers a good bit, but the 128's reached pressure WAY early compared to all predictions, around 3200-3250 with Reloder 26, 63 grains was 3146 fps, 64 grains was 3202 fps, and 65 grains had stiff bolt lift and 3279 fps, 66 grains had heavy bolt lift, heavy extractor mark, and killed the primer pocket in norma brass, going 3330 fps. Reloder 16 ended up similar max velocity, possibly slightly higher, with max being 59-60 grains going 3222 and 3277 respectively. I really think this is bullet related, I have heard some of the badlands bullets suffer from low velocity with pressure. When I get a chance to try the 117 Hammers I'll report their performance as well. I also plan on trying some lead core 130's as well.Any plans on 270 brass? I just posted a thread a few minutes ago asking if anyone had tinkered with lighter bullets in the 270 Sherman. Rich do you have a velocity estimate for the 130 grainers in your 270 Sherman? You think 3500 range in a 26" barrel or is that way off base. It would be a fun point and shoot load to about 400 yards or so! 3700ish in the 110 monos?? What do you think
