morning, between the reloading manuals reloading books
which I have 6, search info on this site and other reloading
sites. a reloader should not have any questions. just
load, shoot, load shoot till the magic spot is found.
example. I just started loading for the 257 wbee. have 2.
gathered info from different sites including this one. started
my null with barnes 100gr. TTSX. 73gr.s RL-22. wbee brass.
215 primers. set on powder and charge. got the COL's off this
site. barnes bullets have grooves cut into the bullet. by changing
the distance between the grooves I came up with a load to
the 2nd groove bottom. I fired the first shot. let the barrel
cool here in TX. fired the second shot, was inside the first
bullet hole. fired the third shot was inside the other 2
at top. subtracting the .257 bullet dia. then measured the
group size. came up with .385. I had people look at the
group. amazed. ME TOO> NEVER shot this rifle before
yesterday. west german action, trimney trigger, H&S sniper
stock, warne steel rings & mounts and bushnell 4.5x30 scope
and hart barrel. #5contour. gunsmith Hempstead Tx.
total cost $1800. justme gbot tum 74yrs, this month.
