I have Fred use the factory trigger and tune it. He gets me around 1 1/4# with no over travel or take-up. I only have them on Varmint and and one 600 yard rigg. I don't like that light on my hunting rifles.

I saw a video whare a guy would vlip off half a coil of the spring at a time until the trigger pull he wanted

Nice. It'd be interesting to see if there is any difference with the original loads with the new trigger.

I've been fortunate in that most of my rifles so far haven't been terribly fussy.

I just might do that next time out.

That makes for a less than reliable trigger, this is a bad idea, and the wrong way to lighten a spring. There is a reason they make the same size and length springs in different poundage or weights.
