And this just crossed your mind today ? It was a suggestion. And who to know best what Savage built in the past ? I have read where people have done this. But to give you a definitive answer on what Savage built is ludicrous. I own many. But I have no idea or would want to guess what they have done in the past. How did you make out on Savage Shooters ? They are Savage knowledgeable. If you want a guess ? I would guess NO. But hey I been wrong before. lol
You're assuming, I posted this same post on many forums i belong too.
SF was a positive feed back.
Again no one is guessing, I'm not doing anything without knowing for sure. I found a stock today I want to buy, So today I ask questions because it is my right, and 2, If Savage made one, then I know what type of action to look for to build a new project. (So your assumption here is the only things that is silly.
Again Don't assume.

If a guy knows then post something, but it seems to me that is not what you're here for.

Looks like I was wrong on the long action in the 90s. I told you it wouldn't be the first time I was wrong. lol It appears they didn't produce a true short action till 1998. If this helps. You may be able to verify the left hand later. Or on the chart provided. Looks like a L in the model number determines if it was a lefty. they did make a long action with the 5" screw spacing with a short action cut out for the 308 family of cartridges and an extended baffle on the bolt to limit it to a short action throw. the stocks were wood with blind mag, no bottom metal cut out

Okay then if this is going to be an open post like this then Len. I'm out of here. Why you can tell folks not to haggle with someone's asking price, but on the same token someone can come here on my post or anyone's and bugger it all with B.S. than I'm not here for this type of harassment. I've been a good standing member since I joined, with no issues, have talked to a lot of people here, have done a lot of buying, always honest. I politely asked the guy to leave my post alone and let those answer who have knowledge on the topic. Then you want to post your results openly like this.
