So seems only thing in na gun magizine now days is 6.5 creedmore. Some hoe its the holy grail of guns. I am not knocking it. Just that looking at ballistic numbers I do not see it as any better rnd than a lot of older tried and true rounds. Give me your sells pitch.
I have a 6.5 Creedmoore. Reloaded it for awhile. Now it just sits in my gun room next to my 300 WM I never shoot. Both rounds were a let down for me.

I have looked at it and the 6.5 X 47, but I am sticking with my 6.5 X 55.
I don't wish to hijack this thread, BUT I would be interested in what you load for the 6.5x55 Swede, I have not long bought an old (1906) Carl Gustaf in a European Tiger Walnut stock and am trying to work up some good loads using 129 SST and 140 Sierra's, what is you rifle, barrel length and loads please if you wish to share

I shot the sierras for a while then I tried 140 noslers with rl22 and never looked back. Basically putting them in the same hole shot after shot.

I have a Carl Gustaf 1894M carbine (18" barrel). My load is with H4831SC and 140 NAB.

Mine has been called a "woman's gun" or a "kids gun" but I'm shooting hand loads and have had impacts on a 30 inch gong at 1760 yards with my modified savage msr10. And I'm only paying .40 a round for reloads. I can shoot all day and it doesnt hurt my wallet as bad as others.

350 yard shot on an 80 lb javelina with 147 gr Hornady 6.5 CM. If you haven't guessed we did not have to hunt for it after the shot, and did not lose any meat because he did not have a chance to run around after the
I have big barrel burning super mags for killing critters a long ways out. I do a lot of shooting with the creedmoor as it has high BC bullets, but they're not the flat wind cheaters the big 7mm/30/338 pills are in the wind. The 6.5 an teach you a lot especially in the wind.

shot.

Had a 6.5 Creed. Great cartridge, but I really didn't see where it did a whole lot more than my 6 Creed, 257 Roberts, 25-06 or 270 would do.....

I have a 28" 8 twist proof barrel that's begging me to make it a 264WM. I also had a friend give me 200 pieces of brass and a set of Redding dies so I really have no excuse not to.
I'm considering selling my R700 5R Milspec (unfired) and building a WTO switch lug with 264WM and 300 WM barrels.

That would be an awesome tube for it. I have .264 WM on a Savage 111F LA with 26" 1:7" 5R from X-caliber still waiting time for load development. It is primarily built to propel the 156 Berger or 160 Matrix.
