Ruger No. 1 LR?

Had a buddy build one in 338-378 Weatherby. It shoots great. The only issue so far was when getting close to pressure it wouldn't eject the case. I was able to shoot a cow with it at 950 yards.

I know this is an old thread, but I have the itch too. Paul Hampton at Country Custom Metalsmithing does a beautiful job on No. 1s. He rebuilt a Model 70 Varmint for me and it is gorgeous. Prices are pretty high right now, though, just to throw everything away but the action.
