Ruger Hawkeye vs. Early MKII

I don't know anything about the hawkeye but had a MKII stainless/laminate 280 Remington and was a good rifle. As others have said the trigger can be cleaned up by a gunsmith pretty good. I swapped out the slippery laminate for a hogue overmolded and used it for years before my friend bought it from me.
I feel most low to mid priced rifles are not up to the quality of the same mid priced rifles of 20 years ago. jmo

Far as I know theyre the same aside from a stock slightly redesigned for better ergonimics on the Hawkeye. I cant recall anything standing out.
