I picked up a Ruger American 22ARC 20" bbl not long ago and have put about 250rounds through it so far.

Ran a pressure test with varget, 80gr eldms, and 1x Hornady brass last week.

Temp was 104* last week on the afternoon I shot. I tested one Hornady case with the 80gr eld at 29.4gr of varget. Got 10 firings and stopped there because I got tired of messing with it. Pocket is still snug and it's ready for more. Left the gun outside the whole time so the chamber stayed toasty and I could get a better idea of pressures. Case looks fine, one very faint ej mark and that's it. Again this was running 29.4gr- 3020fps 80gr eld-m.
So far with little testing 28.5gr of varget and 80elds at +.004" at 2930fps has been looking decent. Shot yesterday in a 8mph cross wind. two 5 shot groups at 0.5" & 0.7"
This was L to R 28.2(0.9"), 28.5(0.8"),28.8(0.9") 5 shot groups with the 80s kissing the lands. Wind was 15mph from 3cl
Running the 10rd 6.5grendel dura mag it came with feeding has been smooth and flawless.
Base of the muzzle threading job is **** and the hellfire muzzle adapter is def not making full contact. Will get that fixed but it's still shooting decent.
3 position saftey is nice. Action runs pretty smooth with some oil and bolt lift after being fired is not bad after 100 rounds or so. Put a 2lb trigger spring in and got an anarchy bolt handle although the factory bolt handle isn't bad with the round knob. They made some structural improvements to the forend of these factory stocks. It still has some flex but is much better and stiffer than the forends on other factory stocks. Also was able to get the barrel free floating but did have to hold it in place with my fingers while I tightened down the action screws. I like it much better than my gen 1 ruger American they made some solid improvements. Factory stock is 28oz, 20" bbl measures .670" diameter just behind the muzzle threads.
Shot the 88s and 75s side by side 2 different days at 100 & 750yards 40 or 50 rounds total to see which one had less wind drift. Shot them alternating in the mag a 750 on a 3'x3' plate. They seemed to have the exact same wind hold at 2688 vs 2930 which is what my applied ballistics solver predicted.
Also going to test some 95smks for the heck of it with accurate 2520 & BL-C2
I've been shooting steel at 200,390,563,750, 1308yards. The last few days with factory 75s testing and gathering brass to reload. Aside from the muzzle threading job. For $580 this rifle has exceed my expectations so far. My main worry before purchase was smooth feeding, smooth bolt cycling, and heavy bolt lift. But it runs very smooth and like I stated earlier the bolt lift is not bad at all after running some rounds through it.
With a March 1.5-15x42 (23oz) & Tbac ultra 5 with a empty mag it's 8.7lbs
