Loaded up some 80elds this evening

Shot a 5rd group at 100 to zero (left dot) it went for 0.5" and was about 3/4moa higher than my zero for the H. black 75elds. I dropped down 3/4moa and shot 1 (right dot) Was a little low so raised a 1/4moa and shot 1, called it good and reset turrets.
After zeroing went out to 750yards, shot a sighter in the dirt then moved over to a 24x24" plate and shot 10rounds. Wind was 2-4mph from 3cl. Vertical on the 10 shot group measured 6.4"/.81MOA
So far with factory 75s and 80gr handloads they are both going 2930fps. At 750yards the 75s drop 16.5moa vs the 80s at 15.7moa

Good group for 995 yds. I wouldn't change a thing.
I loaded up 20 rounds this evening. Same load as yesterday, 28.5gr of varget +.004"80greld running 2930fps.
An hour before dark I went straight out to the 1308yd plate. Temp was 98* wind was 2-3mph and switching directions. Was shooting at 15x.
Dialed 42moa U & .75L Took 2 sighter shots and saw a small dust signature to the left. Dialed up to 43.5U & .25L and sent 5 rounds. I was able to see all the hits on steel but the last one with the scope at 15x then moved to the spotter to confirm.
The vertical was 7.2"
5 shot group measured .67MOA/9.3" at 1308yds
The first 3 shots of that same 1308 group measured .45MOA/6.0"
I let the barrel cool off for 5min the moved to the 995yd plate. Dialed 25.75 .5L, first shot (marked) was high left. Dialed down to 25.50 0 on the windage turret then shot 3.
3 shot group measured .56 MOA/5.6" at 995yds.
Let the barrel cool 10min and moved to the 750yd plate. Dialed 15.7U and 0. Shot 2 sighters in the dirt then moved to the plate. First shot hit high on the left edge of the plate. Dialed .50R and sent 5.
Vertical was 4"

Actually I think a 6mm Creed would be cool. But ARC sits in a good niche of barrel life vs. Performance.
