Ruger #1 AB in 338 Federal Value

a #1 in 338 Fed... interesting! I've had one in 338 Win mag for years and it has been a good rifle. The #1's seem to be a bit fickle on price; more what the buyer will bear than set value. That said the blue book # of $1200 or so seems legit.

I paid $1200 for like new rifle with 1 1/2 boxes of Federal Fusion 200's, leather sling, VX-Ii 3-9x40 and new unused dies.

decent price then for sure.
I paid $500 for my ruger #1 in 338 win new but it was 17 or 18 years ago...

Yeah. Maybe shopping around some I could have found a new one for less but I got a chub when he I saw it in the 338 Federal.
I'm happy for now.
Didn't even shoot it yet. I want to shoot a deer with it but afterwards I won't use it much.
