The way I look at "Hammers" is they are just another great "tool" in the toolbox of bullets. They provide a lot of options as well as other bullets do for plinking, target, high volume shooting etc. Hammers, right now, are my preferred hunting bullet but I like to shoot a lot so other less expensive options are used for range play or small critter stuff.

Info on the 338 !!Used to shoot cup and cores. Now - all my rifles hunt with various Hammers. No comparison in ease of loading, velocity, accuracy and performance. And no, I don't work for Hammer. I buy my own. All i use now for hunting - from 6mm to 338.

I think you should stick a 213 Hammer in a case full with your Edge…
Maybe 3500 ft.per.sec??
Holy Smokes that would be devastating!
I'm headed out to Montana on Easter night ...I could just stop over and visit with Steve ! He tryed to get me to use some hammers but I wasnt convinced that the lighter weight bullet would perform like my heavy Bergers ... it seems like they are doing great on Critters !
Maybe it's time!
I'm going to use my Buddys 375 Rum with some 329 gr Hammers on a Spring Bear while I'm out there . If they perform well I'm positive I will be trying some in my 300 ultra , 338 ultra and even the 338 Edge !
