Rifle won't chamber round

I can't see anything on any of my old brass, or inside the gun. Gave the rifle a good cleaning today and still no luck. Forced a piece of brass in and these are the marks it leaves, almost flat. Guessing I will have to find a local smith to bring it in

I've seen a nearly identical issue. Not saying this is what's happening to your rifle but, my buddy's rifle had a simular feed problem. It was almost unnoticeable but, he had a case seperate about a 1/2" from the case head. You had to look extremely closely to notice the edge of the seperated case stuck in the chamber. If this is the issue good luck removing the case. Several ways to do it but, not usually very easy.

Hello everyone, long time reader first time poster. Have a 300 win mag purchased off here that I personally have shot probably 200+ rounds out of and no issues. Went to shoot today with the same federal hybrid hunter factory ammo I have always shot and I am unable to chamber a round. The round will not go past the neck, tried 3 boxes of ammo including one I had partially shot previously. Also tried to chamber a piece of brass I had previously shot and same thing. Forced it a little on the empty case and it left some pretty bad marks. I can upload a picture of that later. Any ideas? Thanks!!

Rifle is a Stiller action with a shilen barrel. Unsure who did the smithing
Cleaning patch stuck to the wall of the chamber?

This is factory ammo right?

Any chance you have a go guage? If so, I'm curious what happens when you try to chamber that ...

+1 on borescope

From the pic of how far to rear the bolt is, it looks like you might be able to use a pinky finger to feel for an obstruction?

If SAAMI spec round or go guage won't chamber and you can't locate or see an obstruction, then +1 on the gunsmith.

Just a few thoughts that came to mind ...

Good luck!

Is the brass pictured from the same gun. Looks like the one pictured is from a slightly larger chamber and gets dented trying to chamber it in a tighter chamber (different gun).

Did you ever take the stock off and put it back ?
Sometimes, you do so , the screws is longer the bolt tough it!
