I am looking for a bench type setup to make steady shots at long range. I want something rock solid, but it has to be able to rotate so I can track a moving target. Weight isn't an issue, they will be for a stationary bench. What do you guys reccomend?

MMAM, Sinclair has some nice rests, buddy of mine has a Windage B/R Rest, very, very nice rest for $325. Thinking of getting one myself, Jay.

"Rock Steady Rests" are not designed to move or rotate. The only option I know of is a swivel bipod. Not exactly rock steady but will allow you to pan.

Another option would be to make the bench top and seat rotate as you pan. This will allow use of conventional pedestal rests and rear support for a steady rest.
