my brass is already fired, i tested this directly against retumbo on the same firing lot of brass, and it was a huge improvementI found the same thing. Until I got to the second firing. Pressure showed up and backed down a little over a grain.

thats fantastic, you all seem like some great folks down there.Yes, I know Mark well enough, he's in WA, so a long way from me.
Cheers.
I was Adg brass. 215's. 93.8 grains final. 3,197 average. Super flat. Shot 245's at 3,070 fps. I'm on 210 rounds on this barrel with 0.022" of erosion. i'm looking forward to tapping into my adg/peterson stash. almost 3,100 with 245's is impressive. what length barrel?I was Adg brass. 215's. 93.8 grains final. 3,197 average. Super flat. Shot 245's at 3,070 fps. I'm on 210 rounds on this barrel with 0.022" of erosion. Not bad for the powder.
Which bullets were tested?Did some more testing today. Decided to push the n570 some more and also give 24n41 a try.

N570
95.0 - 3,267
96.0 - 3,303
97.0 - 3,317
24N41
96.0 - 3,075
98.0 - 3,156
100.0 - 3,194
the N570 loads started to show some slight flattening, but still no clickers and felt great. I bet I could make it to 3,400 but I will leave it be.
all of the 24n41 primers looked fine, I may try 102 and 104 next time I get out for data sake.
all rounds from today went into a sub 2" group again at 310 yards.

34" barrel, right?Did some more testing today. Decided to push the n570 some more and also give 24n41 a try.

correct, and with the 240 freebore, the bullets bearing surface is above the bottom of the neck shoulder junction. i'll need to measure the oal of a loaded round, but its pretty long. it definitely adds a good bit of room for more powder.34" barrel, right?
i'm doing the opposite, i can't wait to get rid of all my hodgdon powders and switch to all viht.I've gotten away from almost all vv powders. N570 is excellent for velocity but it is dirty and hot. Its a throat eater. Im liking h50 in the norma and lapua ai a lot also 33xc id bet it be great in the rum
according to vihts load data you might be a little on the slow side for the 208 pills, n560/n565 might be worth a short if the n570 doesn't work out for themI just bought a lb on N570 to start working with a load for a 300 Win Mag and 208gr bullets. It seems like alot to the 300WM guys really like H1000 and N570 for the heavier bullets. I have some H1000, but not enough to feed 2 rifles, so what I have is reserved for my 257 weatherby. If I find another jug maybe I will try some in the WM. If not, hopefully N570 is the ticket.
