Joking aside, it is a good looking rig!
Well, any news on your first range report? I expect you'll be very happy. I took a Gunwerks course last year and all of the Magnus' on the line shot lights out. Most accurate, easiest to shoot accurately rifle I've ever used. I've got a Fierce Edge in 7RM I hunt with and a Tikka CTR in a KRG Bravo stock I use for shooting courses/long range shooting that I really like. I plan to replace both with a Gunwerks Nexus.I bought the rifle package based on the good reviews I've read online on Gunwerks and the opinion of my ffl transfer guy who is a competitive long range shooter who got a Werkman through his shop a few weeks ago and said it looked very well built.
They shipped it out today, I should have a range report and some grouping photos by next week.
Resurrecting an older thread. What is the verdict on your choice? I'm thinking of just the Werkman bare rifle. I'm wondering if you have shot any other factory ammo beside hornady 147eldm. Those seem to shoot well in just about anything (including my blued, economical tikka T3x set into an alterra arms carbon stock…for real that was half the price)I'm just getting into long range shooting so be gentle.
Does anyone have experience with the Gunwerks Werkman?
Keep in mind I'm just getting into the sport. I barely have time to shoot let alone reload so I'll be using factory ammo.
I know there are far better scopes out there and of course there are better rifles (possibly for the price).
The attraction is getting into the sport with a turnkey product, including BDC.
I'd love your opinion of that specific platform. My thought it would be a good starting point with minimal trial and error and a base to determine what I like and develop my next purchase from that standard.
