Good for you. It's a nice piece. Makes me feel better about the weapons that I've bought for investments, although almost all of the rifles have some very light use.
Malingering !!! You are not killing anyone's so called buzz, it is just senseless, meritless opinion you have projected. Not to be a buzz kill here but I know a great many sauvy gun owners who wouldn't give a single US dollar bill for a Rem rifle made in the last 5 years of production before bankruptcy much less one made in the last 5 days!
Regardless of how great it looks.
I think it has plenty of merit. However I asked my wife and she agreed with you that I rarely have any sense. So I'll give ya 50% credit for your reply.Malingering !!! You are not killing anyone's so called buzz, it is just senseless, meritless opinion you have projected.
Thanks for the information on serial no's.OK. Serial number doesn't tell the date the rifle was assembled. For that you need the date code on the left side if the barrel that you say isn't there. The link below will be your guide.
Check for the other inspection and proof marks.
If you want some assistance interpreting I can help. You say it has no barrel code which is hard to believe. I have only seen this on some new RA serial numbers (RemArms) rifles. The RR serial numbers started in 2013 and ran until 2020 when the plant shut down in Bankruptcy.
This rifle would likely have come out of Dakota Arms as they took over the duties but I'm not sure of when that happened. There is a 700Rifle website that you might want of visit.
My older 300 RUM was a Remington CDL version...no white spacers, everything else was essentially a BDL stock.I had a Remington M700 BDL 7mm Mag in 1970 and it had white spacers... I think even before that like in 1967/68 I bought a 6.5 Remington Mag... BDLs all had white spacers, the ones I had did. Just my 0.2 Cheers
Heck. I'd pay about treefiddy for one of the new Alpha 1 rifles. If anyone has any Remington rifles manufactured in the last 5 years of production currently for sale, I will give a single dollar for them. Shoot, I'll give you a buck fifty.
I'm not sure if I would. A couple years before they went bankrupt, a guy in my original hometown area caught a bolt in the face while sighting in his new rifle with factory ammo. They were able to show that it was a quality issue with the rifle that caused it. My family who still live in the area won't go near a Remington 700 if they don't know the date of manufacture. The guy did live but had to have several repair surgeries. I personally like all my 700's and 722's but they're all older ones too.Heck. I'd pay about treefiddy for one of the new Alpha 1 rifles.
