Pick my scope for me

Looks like a great deal, I wish it was in mils instead of moa. If you come across one in mils for that price please send me a link. I've found a couple in mils in the $715ish range. Is the ares a huge upgrade from the helos?
Here it is! Same price!

Thanks! On athlons website they have an Ares ETR "UHD", i noticed this one doesn't have uhd, do you know if they are the same optic or is this one and older discontinued model? Skus are the same 🤷 Not being picky, especially if it's better than the helos.

Same scope and it's a misprint by Midway. I'm telling you, you won't be disappointed with this optic at this price point!

The 2 I'm considering are the Bushnell match pro ed 3-18x50 and the Athlon helos btr gen 2 4-20x50. There's about a $250 difference between these 2 and I'm not sure the bushnell is $250 more scope than the Athlon.

Which would be your pick between these 2? And what others in this low-mid tier would you recommend over these? Im aware of the Arken ep5, but i dont trust all of the youtube reviews from people who have affiliate links. The features I'm hoping for are:

FFP
Exposed (locking preferably) elevation
Zero stop
Capped or locking windage
Mid power range
Mil
Illuminated reticle
50-56mm obj
Sub $900
Best glass possible for this price range

I would love to put "not made in china" but i know I won't get that at this price range. Thank you all for you time and expertise!
The arken is a better choice, myself and a friend have 6 different ones and they are awesome. Tracking is better than some night force scopes. The glass is better than my night force SHV. We have shot them out to 1700 and 1800 yds. They would be my first choice if I get another scope

I see lots of opinions on Athlon, many suggestions on other brands but not much on the Bushnell. I thought I read or watched a review when the Bushnell first came out that was not very complementary. You might want to do some reseach of reviews of that exact optic if you are still considering it. From where I sit this Bushnell appears to be clearly targeted to get back some of the
Arken and Athlon business. Previously most of their long range options were typcially over $1k.

Previously those long range over $1k scopes were all made in Japan also. This new one is not. I, like you, read some reviews like you mention that were not very favorable.

Still, Japanese glass in a budget scope is not horrible.
Didn't say it was and I don't have a problem with some Chinese upper tier scopes. I have the EPL and a EP on some low use rifles. I had a Zoom ring failure in the field with their SH model though, they replaced it of course and stood behind their warranty.
