Is there a crack in the stock about an inch above your thumb in the first picture or is it just a visual illusion due to the paint pattern?

Figured, just wanted to give you a chance to cover it in case it was scaring anyone off.
The only HS stock I've ever seen crack is one I have which is about 20 years old and it was just a minor issue running lengthwise along the ejection port.
