remington 700 adl vs tc venture

i have read a lot of things i like about the tc. i do have a 700 30-06 i got in 1980 it has never given any trouble. havent done any mods to it. it shoots well but my tikka is just flat more accurate however in 25-06 tikkas only get a 22.7/16 barrel just saying.

I like the 24in barrel I got with my TC, I think it was in 2012 TC Venture got the highest rating for it trigger in a long range specific. Shooting Times special release magazine. They have a 5r rifled match grade barrel with target crown. We sent a bore scope down mine and its like a mirror so I say they are very close to match grade quality. They are pillar bedded stocks and free floated barrels. After about 500 rounds I noticed the three locking lugs on the bolt have uniform contact at probably 90% or better I don't think you could improve upon it..now for the negatives. I don't like that the forearm is a little flimsy, on a hot day I noticed my groups opened up and it was my forearm touching the barrel from my bipod so I'm going to stiffen that with some glass bedding but keep it free floated of course.

I'm gonna have me one lol. One fella has a savage with a brake. The recoil is almost nonexistent its just an awesome round....

I have really been thinking about owning a 6.5 but can't decide on the cartridge. Really like the performance of the 6.5-06 Ackley and 6.5 Sherman, but anything based on the .308 case like the .260 is very accurate and very efficient, just what I like. Maybe one of these days I will make a decision and buy one. My Model 700 Varmint .243 does everything I need out to 700yds on varmints and predators with zero recoil. Then my Model 700 ADL in .270 is my deer getter out to 700yds so have the medium game covered too. Don't really need a 6.5 but that 140gr A-MAX really makes me want one haha.

in 25-06 adl is 100 cheaper. opinions? thanks.

Depends on the future of the rifle. Do you want to customize it later? or just keep it a factory rig? What do you want out of the rifle?

Factory rig: tc, savage, tikka
Custom: remmy, maybe savage.

I have two t/c that will shoot under 1/2" ..easily the most accurate guns I have bought and the least expensive.who would of thought ?
My Tc does shoot 3/8 groups.... didn't have to bed it,lap it or true it my buddies are retired military that would love to go toe to toe at the range with anybody......

I don't know how they got way out of there league I bought one and didn't have to put several hundred dollars in it to get it to shoot like most of my

buddies had to do with there Remington's bedding, free floating, lapping etc.most of them realized they spent to much money getting those Remingtons to shoot just to have a bone stock TC, Ruger Americans and Savage's out shoot them.....
Hello I've never been on this site but had a question.
Does anyone know it the tc compass uses the same trigger as Rem 700
Thank you!
