Rem mod 600 350 Rem mag

I had never seen one of these rifles before but a friend brought one over last night for me to sell.
Those things are beautiful and very impressive.
Got one! But they have a bite to them if it's the laminated carbine! šŸ˜Š Edit; just saw the pic....yup...that's the one! Nasty little suckers...but Pretty!

Historically, don't forget the Remington 673:

Remington tried to build on the allure of the long discontinued 600's & 660's and brought out the 673. It is a fine looking & feeling rifle but heavier than the 600's. I think it was an attempt to help with recoil. They also included the 300 SAUM cartridge in the lineup (although I thought it was the 300 WSM).

I'd love to find a 350 in a model 7 KS; although I have no real use for one, just because!

The 350 Mag in the 600 was noted in one article as the demise of the 600 model since small carbines with magnum rounds are far from pleasant to shoot. I've always loved the the 600 models and had a chance to buy a 673 on the used rack maybe 10yrs ago. I think I was so dumbfounded to actually find one that I didn't act and by the next day it was gone.

I have since built my own Frankenstein version converting a Kimber 84M 300 WSM into a 358-300 WSM with a Lilja barrel as light as possible and completed it with a lightweight Leupold mounted on lightweight rings. I want to say the complete rifle was just under 7lbs IIRC and that was with a 26" barrel (a holdover preference from shooting a Weatherby). I didn't bother to have the barrel threaded as I figured I just need to get it sighted in and would only shoot it hunting thereafter. After maybe 4 or 5 rounds the recoil was so horrific I had to stop, and my standard rifle is a Sako M995 in 338 Lapua. I then had the barrel cut down to 24 and threaded with a brake. It became manageable but still not enjoyable. Just last year I cut the barrel down again to 20" and threaded for a suppressor. I also switched to a rail with heavy duty rings and a heavier V6 Leupold, along with a few extra grains of lead epoxied into the butt of the stock just to increase some weight. Shot it this past season and absolutely love it.

So that's my long rant on a light carbine rifle with a magnum chambering and what it takes to be a rifle you want to shoot.

I have one. It's a beast. Hammers deer. With Ramshot Tac you can push the 200 gr barnes to 2900. I'm running it about 2750. The recoil is violent and it's loud with the short barrel. One reason my left ear is shot. I also have an encore with a 26" barrel in 350. It's the only rifle I will shoot cooper in as I was having trouble keeping bullets in one piece. The 200 gr barnes is short and made to load at mag length.

I have a Rem 600 Mohawk in 243. I love the gun but until about 6 months ago it never shot good groups. I had it rebareled and glass bedded with a Rem 700 take off cut and crowned at 20" and its shooting .6moa 100gr Sierra Gameking hand loads.(Only load I've made for it so far) I'm so happy about it now, I'm on the lookout now for other calibers, but that is a rare gun to find in my area.

I haven't been able to get it sold yet

best bet is Gun broker with a $900 start and see what happens. Value on them has pulled back a little the last few years. I own a few of both 350's and 6.5's little rough on the shoulder from the bench, but in the field more of a big push. 350 with a 180 and BLC2 looks like a hydrogen bomb exploding in low light!
