They can be used, but the load has to be worked up from scratch using them.
In very cold weather magnun primers can insure better ignition.Due to the increase in power of the primer you will use less powder.

I'm using some 9 1/2 m's up in my 270 but the load is a from scratch work-up using a non- canister powder (mil-surp). Start 10% down from the top and take it slow on the way up.
