Could your primers gotten contaminated?
And they wouldn't let me return the two bricks I had so I had to go somewhere else for less of a deal but walked away with different primers I couldn't find for a long timeMaybe there was a reason their in stock? Hmmm...
Returning primers has always been an issue. Except 50 years ago.....hmmm...And they wouldn't let me return the two bricks I had so I had to go somewhere else for less of a deal but walked away with different primers I couldn't find for a long time
How are those working for your load now? Any findings noteworthy?I have since unloaded them and found Fed 215 which is what I loaded in all my other cases and never had an issue.
My concern is that one type of primer caused an issue while other types did not. It may be a gun issue contributing to the ftf but why. As you stated there are issues posted. I would hate to think that the OP has to exclude one type of primer to satisfy the gun. What with finding and then paying for primers being such a pita!!Another issue I have heard of with the Contender/Encore platforms is people having light strikes after adding a hammer spur. The weight of the spur is just enough to slow the hammer down to the point that ignition became inconsistent. Couple that with any headspace issue and you can start getting FTF problems.
I had to do a "trade" as the store wouldn't take them back. I lost on it but still ended up getting more of a different brand. How are those working for your load now? Any findings noteworthy?
It's the pro hunter with swivel hammer factory no add ons.Another issue I have heard of with the Contender/Encore platforms is people having light strikes after adding a hammer spur. Ya gotta like the brass prep chore... Did you trade them back to the store you bought them from? More is almost always better. Hope it works out! Stay safe and have fun.I had to do a "trade" as the store wouldn't take them back. I lost on it but still ended up getting more of a different brand.
I haven't tried yet may try and load up tonight as I had to clean size and trim brass and prime. So maybe get at it tonight hopefully
