Reloading Component Tourism?

I don't even have to go out of state. If I pass a Sportsmans warehouse, or a coastal farm and ranch...sometimes even Bi-marts....I will run in and look at what they have, Lol. I've found some crazy deals like that. One coastal had all Hornady A-Tip bullets for $49 and a 10% veteran discount...that's like 50% off.

Someone told them they were way under priced and they wised up. Same with powder...they were selling varget for $36/lb when cabelas had it for $68/lb.

Didn't make it to the bi mart on the last trip south, but priced in Washington were higher than here. Hit up a few stores in Oregon pre election and prices and availability weren't great on components.... Just 9mm and 10mm oddly.

My last two attempts have been failures as costs were higher than home....

Dude! When we were working on the near island bridge, the chevron in The Dalles, Oregon had the same crappy sandwiches as the Chevron in Anchorage...Anchorage was like $1.50 cheaper!? How!? Then, the Walmart in Kodiak had throw away phones that were cheaper than where I live...HOW!?

Prices in Anchorage, Juno, Bethel and places like that were absolutely insane back in the early 2000's, yet somehow main land prices have caught up on some stuff...and even surpassed other items. How can you end up paying less for something that is shipped on a container ship, moved by train, trucked to a port, shipped on a barge, put onto a different barge and shipped again, then trucked to a store, than what we pay for something that is shipped on container ship, put on a train and shipped directly by truck? It makes absolutely no sense.

I didn't much care for Kodiak, but some of the coffee girls over on near island...BOY HOWDY!
