I have 5 lbs of RL19 that I bought from Selway Armory last year to use in my .340 Weatherby. I am trying to work up a load with the RL 19 for my .270 Win since I can't locate any 4350 (IMR or H). Anyone have success with RL 19 in the .270 Win? I will be using Nosler brass, Barnes 130 TTSX, and Fed 210 primers.
Barnes shows a starting load of 52.0, and max 57.8 (compressed). Just trying to get an idea from someone who might have had success using RL 19 for their .270 Win

Thanks, I will. I am waiting for a new barrel to put on my rifle, and will start working up a load with the new barrel. I don't have enough of the IMR-4350 powder for the .270, because I load my 30/06 (55.0 gr behind a Barnes 168 TTSX). That load gives me 1/2 moa groups, so I want to save the 4350 for that rifle. I'm sure I can work up a decent load with the RL19 for deer hunting before I give the rifle to my Grandson.

The only load I have seen for 270 and RL19 was for 130 Barnes TSX, COAL 3.356, and it was above what you are listing as max. He was geting 1/2" in a Remington 721

Thanks, RL 19 should work then. It's faster than RL 22 and slower than RL 17, and I have 5 pounds of it. I use it in my .340 Wby, 87.0 behind a Barnes 225 TTSX getting 3000 fps

If I were you, I would start a ladder test and looking for pressure signs. Acording to the only other person I saw using it, it was just under max load, but from older data. (higher load)

If you need IMR4350 and hurry, Midsouth has some in stock at the moment. It doesn't answer your question, but thought it could help your situation.

Just checked again (9:52 PM CST), and it shows "out of stock". Thanks for the heads-up !! I got the confirmation on my order of two cans, so it should be on it's way to me next week.
