I am a Mark V fan as well and think it is a great action. I am a fan of the 7mm STW as well. Given the option of the 28 Nosler, it might be an option as well. I know people claim better bbl life with the 28 Nosler but I can't back that up. Depending on what you want to run for bullets, might want to see about getting it throated for longer bullets. I know everyone raves about the 195 gr Berger and it is a good bullet. I prefer ELD-X or Barnes for hunting.

Thanks for the info. I am going to move to the 28 Nosler. I love the Barnes for hammering elk. They plain just get the job done. I may have the throat lengthened but if I do that it will restrict the gun to shoot one type of bullet over all the other choices. I will likely go with a standard throat because of this.
