RCBS

Never went to RCBS without stopping in there. I loved that place.
Ya I got word it finally closed its doors last October. It was definitely a very cool place and for many decades was the best place to get anything outdoor related in the area. The walls of that place have heard a ton of knowledge passed around and have gathered some "fish stories" as well.

I've got replacement parts such as decapping pins, decapping rods, and brass processing parts that are marked made in China on the bag. My brass boss was also made there. All this said, I can't say I've had any particular problems with any of the ones I've got. They seem to do the job. And in the end, that's what matters to me. Nuff said.

Roger that. It was enough just to go in there and try and absorb the history of it all. I would stand around in there for hours and just talk guns and "ammo".

Here is a pretty good Youtube video of an RCBS plant tour. I ask my friend about he Chinese decapping pins and rods and he indicated that you either got another brand or counterfeit product. Everything steel, either cast or machined is made in Oroville. This video shows much of the operation. He did say that all the electronics stuff is sourced overseas.

I got Chinese made primer pocket cleaners, decapping pins and rods directly from rcbs lasts 2 times I ordered directly from rcbs. It clearly said so on the parts bags. So unless rcbs doesn't know about where those parts were sourced from, (unlikly), I have no othere explanation to offer. But like I said before, I didn't have any particular problems with any of the stuff I got. But yeah, I'd rather get American made any day! 😍

C130 Dude
You may very well be right on that. I'm basing my info from sometime in the past as is my buddy that is now back in charge of things there. It very well could have been based on the Bushnell management team trying to cut cost. Hopefully Kent will get it all straightened out.

Last time I ordered was late 21 or early 22. Pandemic affected supply chain most likely. May have used some Chinese parts out of contract requirements or necessity. Who knows. It'll be nice for them to get it all back under one roof again. We have had enough of out sourcing, company breakups, and buyouts.
