Looking for what you guys have found relating to 7mm REM MAG and ramshot grand. I picked up some of this powder for a 7RM that's not quite playing as nicely as I'd like. Any input?

I am also headed down that path. Same caliber and powder. 160 AccuBonds and/or 162 EDL-X. I haven't begun the loading but expecting good things.

Sweet keep us posted on your findings. I'm looking to run 180s in mine. Looking for some starting and "max" load info if anyone has been down this path.

Here is what the Hodgdon reloading site shows.

I have been using Grand in a 300 PRC using 300 Win Mag as my reference because they are really close in case size ect. Using Hornady and Hogdon data also. I really like the powder as it burns clean and really throws consistent weight. Im finding my Christesen action to be a little tight and I reach Pressure indications on the brass a couple grains earlier than recommended max. So far im really liking the powder especially for that price compared to H1000 and others similar in burn rate.

What bullet and speeds are you getting in the 300 PRC? I am thinking of loading Grand in mine also. Likely the 180 Accu-Bond, 200 ELD-X or possibly a Hammer Hunter or Barnes LRX. It shoots the Hornady factory 212 ELD-X very accurately at about 2850 fps, so I don't really need to change.

The Hodgdon loading site shows the max load of Grand for 180 grain bullet is 3148 fps and 3006 fps for the 200 grain bullet. About 150 fps increase on each lighter bullet from the factory. So fairly standard increases I would think.

For those interested in 7RM findings, I'm planning to load a ladder up with 180VLDs this week. Will report back
I would certainly be interested in the increases that you might realize with the Grand vs other powders. The 300 PRC and the 7 RM are two examples where the reloading tables show some likely significant velocity increases over say H1000 for example. I know that the VV powders may also realize some significant increases and I may explore those if Grand doesn't work out. I have most of the magnum VV powders already.

I have had really good luck with proof barrels and velocity. I'm traditionally an H1000/Retumbo guy as well and haven't needed to explore VV powders. I have yet to find a chamber that hasn't yielded what I want with h1000 but this particular barrel has got me wanting to explore GRAND for the cost savings compared to VV or Hogdon.

The new Hogdon 2025 manual is out and I received one today! The manual confirmed most the data I had gotten with the 2 - 300 PRCs I have with great velocity. It appears to be a RL-26 replacement and had the highest velocity in every bullet weight they posted in 300 PRC - I had taken a few factory Hornady 225 M apart and compared the powder with Grand and wasnt surprised that the powders were exactly the same. I even examined with magnifying glass and you cant tell any difference. The load in the factory Hornady 225 M I took apart was 79 grains. Hogdon has 77.6 recommended for the 220 gr eld x. I was sure glad to see this data posted by the powder company after getting quite a few LBs of Grand when It was on sale for $27 a lb at Midway a couple months ago. Now I need to load up some 300 win and compare. I didnt realize my 300 Win had a 8 twist bbl until I was cleaning it the other day! Now Im wondering about my sanity of buying not 1, 300 PRC but 2 of them!
