Ramblings and Such From Hunting Coyote

In the spring of 1986 I got a call from a rancher up on the mountain that I trapped for . He and a couple of his hands had been moving cows from one pasture to another and had 3 coyote chasing them and their dogs that morning could I come and see about killing them as he thought that they were too aggressive . He gave me a good description of where they had been that morning . I got out there the next morning thinking that they were denning in that area and weren't wanting the other dogs near their den . I parked in a draw about 1/2 - 3/4 mile from where they had been the day before walked up a draw to near the rocky hill that they were on . I got set up waited a while watching the country out in front of me and saw one laying down on a slight raise a couple hundred yards but no more then just the one . I shot it and then just sat for 20 minutes watching not any movement . So I got my howler out and let out a long lone howl . I saw two run up to the top of a small hill looking my way then they started their warning barks and short sharp howl in my direction . I answered them with the same as they were giving me one came my way the other stayed there on the hill continuing to threaten me . When the one that was coming toward me got close and showed it's self I shot it . the one on the hill ran off not to be seen again . I had an older male and female down . When I opened her up she showed 8 pups had been born . I tracked their prints and in an hour or so had the den hole found . As I pulled some pups out of the hole I noticed that some were bigger and had their eyes open and had started to get their grey coats and that some were still chocolate brown and didn't have their eyes open yet being at least 3 weeks younger then the older ones . I ended up pulling 13 pups out of that den from two mothers , 8 older ones and 5 younger ones . This was a rare den with pups from two females in it . Most likely mom and a young female of hers from last year .

I got him some 20 caliber 40 grain burger varmint bullets two boxes,At 8:30 I will be at the post office shipping them out
The people on this site are amazingly generous….. we are the heart and soul of this great country called the USA……..when HE made all of us, HE put a part of HIMSELF in us, that is easy to see…all have it, most show it, 
My Granddad on my Mom's side was a WW 1 vet as well as a hard core Baptist . He played a large part in my life when I was growing up . One of the things he told me often was that one of the best things that the Bible had to teach was to treat people the way you want them to treat you , so that when people treat you badly that's the way they want to be treated . From the experiences I've had with that is that isn't always what they want . Say that some one disagrees with you but they get argumentative with you instead of explaining why they disagree with you so you return in like manner to them they most often will get butt hurt and start raising their voice saying things that they think will be hurtful to you . What has been accomplished ? Not much but dislike , mistrust and misunderstanding of others . It is so true that we should treat others as we want to be treated but just because some one starts out by being argumentative instead of explanative about their views doesn't mean that is the way they would like you to be with them . Years ago The company I worked for sent me to what they called tact class because of my habit of telling people what I thought bluntly . They didn't like me telling them what I thought and they didn't tell others what they thought either so you ended up with them all dancing around each other playing games and not being honest about much . It was a hot bed of mistrust and not a good place to work with all kinds of stress . We on here tend to be good to each other as it should be and to explain well what we would like to convey to others respectfully . I do tend to lack in some areas but then I'm still in the learning faze of life I haven't died yet and don't think that I have lost the ability to learn and retain things .
