Question about barrel maintenance after shooting

I clean regularly with BoreTech Eliminator. Instructions on the bottle say that it can be left in the barrel as a short term rust inhibitor. That is what I do unless the rifle is expected to be put away for the season.
Rifles that are being stored are cleaned thoroughly, oiled and dry-patched.

I go hundreds of rounds between cleaning normally unless a given gun copper fouls quickly and needs cleaning more often but this is not the norm for most barrels
