Question about 1 mile

This is intriguing.

You could probably run a heavier stock and knock that recoil down a bunch
My rifle currently weighs 16.75#. There's a maximum limit of 17#
The brake has to come off also.

I can't believe nobody has brought up the fact that with 150 moa rail is going to be pretty dang tall to keep you from staring at the barrel. Like you could put a pillow on the stock as a cheek weld.
height and cheek weld is relatively easy to deal with, bigger problem will be he's probably gonna be looking at the barrel through the scope.
Which I didn't think of initially

I've already been there :) That's just a TON of money for something that won't get used only once a year, and/or, maybe only once.
If they pull off this match, they're going to need a number of shooters to continue matches or they won't continue, which would suck.
They have all the shooters they need when we shoot 1,000yds at Camp Atterbury. Some of the shooters have just enough finances to make the spring and fall shoots. Fuel, motels, food, entry fees, etc. Some can afford it, but just.
Then just the cost to fire a round. Every time I touch my trigger I send almost $6 out the barrel. 70 rounds at $6 = $420!

Yes, I know, this sport is expensive ;)

I appreciate everyone's help, and suggestions.
